Yin for Digestion

25 minutes of gentle twists and folds for the belly

25 min · 7 poses · no props

Twenty-five slow minutes to nourish the middle of you. Forward folds and gentle compression massage the belly, and long, patient twists wring through the abdomen to help everything move. In Chinese medicine these shapes work the Stomach, Spleen and Liver lines that run through the torso. Practise on a fairly empty stomach — an hour or two after eating is ideal — and let each twist be slow and easy. Come as you are.

Press play and follow along — each hold is timed, with a gentle chime and a moment to ease out before the next pose. Use Skip or Prev to move at your own pace.

Common questions

Can yoga help with digestion?

Gentle twists and forward folds massage and compress the belly, which many people find helps things feel like they're moving. It's a soothing, low-effort way to support your digestion — not a medical treatment.

When should I practise this routine?

On a fairly empty stomach — an hour or two after eating is ideal, rather than straight after a big meal. Keep the twists slow and gentle.

How often can I do it?

As often as you like — it's gentle enough for daily practice, and a calming one to return to whenever you feel sluggish or heavy.
