A gentle, beginner-friendly Yin class for the whole length of your back and spine. We begin in child’s pose with a soft side stretch, warm the spine with a few rounds of cat-cow, then open the upper back and chest in anahatasana before folding forward through butterfly and caterpillar to reach the lower back and hamstrings. We finish lying down in a long reclined twist, releasing any last knots of tension. It’s a soothing, unhurried practice to ease stiffness and everyday aches.
Anyone new to Yin, or anyone whose back feels tight, stiff or achy and wants to move slowly and kindly. There’s no experience needed and nothing to keep up with — just follow Katie’s voice at your own pace. It’s a lovely reset for the spine after a long day of sitting.
Just your mat and a quiet space where you can be still for half an hour. This is a no-props class, though a cushion or pillow nearby is nice to sit on or tuck underneath you if it makes any pose more comfortable. Every pose here has a gentler option and a deeper one — choose whichever your body wants today, and pause whenever you need to.

Not at all — this one is designed for just you and your mat, so you can press play anywhere. If you'd like a little support, keep a cushion or pillow nearby to sit on or tuck under you in child's pose or butterfly, but it's completely optional.
Absolutely — this is a beginner-friendly class and flexibility isn't the point. Every pose has a gentler option: bend your knees in caterpillar, sit further from your feet in butterfly, or rest your head in your hands. Find your edge at about 60–80% and let the shape do the work.
This class is built to gently soothe the back and spine, moving from the upper back through the lower back and into the hamstrings, which are often tight when the back feels sore. Move slowly, stay within a comfortable stretch, and come out of any pose sooner if you need to.
