A gentle 30-minute Yin practice made for the end of the day, to help you release the day and get ready for sleep. We begin sitting comfortably with some soft neck and shoulder stretches and a little eagle-arm opening, then settle into calming 4:8 breathing to quieten the mind. From there we lie back for a long reclined butterfly, a big knees-to-chest hug, and a slow two-knee reclined twist, before melting into corpse pose and a closing rest. No props, no rush — just a soothing wind-down toward sleep.
Anyone who wants a calm, no-props practice to unwind before bed, whether you’re brand new to Yin or well practiced. It’s especially lovely if your mind is busy at night or you carry tension in your neck and shoulders. If you’re new to this, simply follow the shapes at your own pace and take the gentler option whenever you need it.
Just your mat and a warm, quiet space — you can even do this in bed. This is a no-props class, though a cushion, block or blanket is nice to sit on at the start, and a cushion under the knees can make reclined butterfly more comfortable. Every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one, so make it feel right for you. Press pause whenever you need to.

Not at all — this one is designed with no props, so you can do it right on your mat or even in bed. If you'd like a little support you can sit up on a cushion, block or blanket to begin, and slide a cushion under your knees in reclined butterfly, but it's entirely optional.
Yes. Yin isn't about how far you go — it's about settling and letting the shape do the work. Find your edge at about 60–80%, and in every pose there's a gentler option, like moving your feet further away in reclined butterfly. Come out any time you need to.
That's exactly what it's for. The slow poses, long exhales and calming 4:8 breathing are all here to signal to your body and mind that it's time to unwind and prepare for sleep. Dim the lights, get cosy, and let yourself soften.
