A soothing 30-minute reclined Yin practice — Day 13 of the Bedtime Yin Yoga Challenge — done entirely on your back to help you unwind before sleep. After settling into corpse pose with a few calming breaths, we open the hips with reclined swan, ease into a supine twist, then stretch the whole side body in banana pose, working the right side and then the left before resting again. It’s slow, quiet and restorative — a way to let the day fall away and melt into a restful night.
Anyone who wants to unwind and release tension before bed, whether you’re brand new to Yin or well practiced. It’s especially lovely if your hips, back or shoulders feel tight after a busy day. New to this? Just follow the shapes at your own pace and take the gentler option whenever you need it.
Only your mat — or your bed, if that’s where you’d like to practice. This is a no-props class, though a bolster tucked under your hips or along your spine can add a little extra support if you have one. Keep the lights low, get cosy, and remember every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one.

Not at all — this one is done entirely lying down, so all you need is your mat or even your bed. If you happen to have a bolster, it can feel lovely tucked under your hips or lengthways along your spine, but it's completely optional. Come as you are.
Yes. Yin isn't about how far you go — it's about finding your edge at around 60–80% and letting the shape do the work. Every pose here has a gentler version and a deeper one, so you simply choose what feels right tonight. Nothing is forced.
Absolutely — this whole practice is reclined and calming, so it works beautifully on the mattress. Move slowly, keep the lights low, and let each long hold settle your body and mind. Afterwards you can drift straight off, or follow it with a guided relaxation.
