A mostly silent, minimal-cues hour of Yin focused on the heart space — the shoulders, upper back and chest. Katie gives you just enough to settle into each shape, then leaves you in quiet to hold and breathe. We open the chest with puppy pose, deepen through sphinx and seal, then work the shoulders in broken wing, pretzel arms and cow-face arms, before folding in caterpillar and unwinding with reclined butterfly, a reclined twist and a long rest in corpse pose. Come as you are — every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one.
Anyone carrying tension in the shoulders, upper back or chest who’d like a calm, quiet space to let it go. The silence and minimal cues make it especially lovely if you already know your way around a few Yin shapes and want to drop inward, though the gentler options mean you can follow along at any level.
Just your mat and a warm, quiet space where you can be still. No props are required, but a cushion, block or bolster nearby is nice to pad the knees, support the pelvis or rest the chest and head on, and a folded blanket or strap can help too. Every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one, so take whichever suits your body today, and press pause whenever you need to.

No props are required — just your mat will do. That said, this class opens the chest and shoulders quite deeply, so a cushion, block or bolster nearby is lovely to pad the knees, support the pelvis or rest the chest and head on. A folded blanket and a strap are handy too if you have them. Everything is optional — come as you are.
It means Katie gives you just enough guidance to settle into each pose, then leaves you in quiet to hold it and feel your breath. It's a peaceful, meditative way to practice. If you're brand new to Yin you may prefer a fully guided class first, but every pose here has a gentler option so you can always ease back.
Yes — tight shoulders are exactly what this class is for. Find your edge at about 60–80%, let the shape do the work, and take the gentler option whenever you need it. In broken wing you set your own intensity by shifting your weight slowly, so you stay completely in control.
