What this Yin class is

A full-body deep stretch, held long and slow with no props at all. We start up in the shoulders, work down through the spine, and open into the hips and legs — so by the end you’ve stretched away tension from head to toe. Each pose is held for around five minutes, because in Yin it’s the length of the hold that does the work. Come as you are — every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one.

Who this class is for

Anyone who wants a proper, unhurried full-body stretch and a deep sense of relaxation — after a long day, before bed, or any time your body feels tight and your mind feels busy. Five-minute holds are wonderfully calming, but if that ever feels too long, come out sooner. Always respect your own body and your own limitations. New to Yin? Read the pose notes below first, then follow along at your own pace.

What you need

Just your mat and a warm, quiet space where you can be still. This is a no-props class, so there’s nothing to gather — simply press play. Press pause whenever you need to.

Common questions

Do I need any props for this class?

No — this is a no-props class from start to finish. All you need is your mat and a warm, quiet space where you can be still.

How long is each pose held?

Each pose is held for around five minutes, since in Yin the length of the hold is where the release happens. If five minutes ever feels too long, simply come out sooner.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes — it's an all-levels class. Every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one, so you can find your edge at about 60–80% and never force or strain.

A gentle reminder: Yin asks you to respect your limits, not override them. Come out of any pose that feels like pain rather than sensation, ease off if your hands tingle or a knee complains, and take your time coming out of the long holds — the body feels tender for a moment, and that passes. This practice is about taking good care of your body, never pushing it.
