What this Yin class is

A full hour of Yin with a bolster and a couple of blocks, so the deeper shapes feel restful rather than effortful. We hold each pose for around three minutes and let the props do the holding — which means you can soften completely and let the stretch reach a little deeper. Come as you are — every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one.

Who this class is for

Anyone who loves feeling fully supported, or who finds unpropped Yin a bit intense — and anyone who simply wants to sink in and let go. New to Yin or experienced, you’re welcome here.

What you need

A bolster (or a firm cushion / rolled blanket) and one or two yoga blocks (books work in a pinch). A blanket nearby is lovely too, plus a warm, quiet space where you can be still. Press pause whenever you need to.

Common questions

How long is this Yin Yoga class?

It runs about 60 min. Yin is slow and floor-based, so you can settle in — and pause any time you need to.

Do I need any props for this class?

It helps to have bolster, blocks nearby, but you can always improvise with cushions, blankets or books, or simply take the option that needs no props.

Is this class suitable for beginners?

Yes. It's an all-levels class — every pose has a gentler option, so work at about 80% of your edge and ease off whenever you need to.

A gentle reminder: Yin asks you to respect your limits, not override them. Come out of any pose that feels like pain rather than sensation, ease off if your hands tingle or a knee complains, and take your time coming out of the long holds — the body feels tender for a moment, and that passes. This practice is about taking good care of your body, never pushing it.
