What this Yin class is

A full 70 minutes of silent Yin — a deep full-body stretch with minimal cues and no props needed. I say just enough to guide you into each shape and tell you how long we’ll stay, then leave you to the quiet so you can drop out of your head and fully into the pose. Long, slow holds work through the feet and legs, the back and spine, the shoulders and hips. Come as you are — every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one.

Who this class is for

Anyone who loves a peaceful, meditative practice with very little talking — and anyone who wants a proper deep stretch without gathering any props. It’s a lovely way to unwind at the end of the day or settle before sleep. New to Yin? Read the pose notes below first, then follow the shapes at your own pace.

What you need

Just your mat, and a warm, quiet space where you can be still. No props required — though a cushion or blanket nearby is always welcome to pad sensitive knees or rest your head. Press pause whenever you need to.

Common questions

Is this a silent class?

Almost. It's a minimal-cues practice, so I guide you into each shape and tell you how long we'll stay, then leave you to the quiet until it's time to release. If you'd like more instruction, start with one of my fully guided Yin classes first.

Do I need any props?

No. This is a no-props class — just your mat and a warm, quiet space. If you have a cushion or blanket nearby it can pad sensitive knees or support the head, but nothing is required.

Is 70 minutes of Yin suitable for beginners?

Yes. Every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one, and you set the depth. Read the pose notes below before you begin, come to about 60–80% of your capacity, and come out of any shape sooner if you need to.

A gentle reminder: Yin asks you to respect your limits, not override them. Come out of any pose that feels like pain rather than sensation, ease off if your hands tingle or a knee complains, and take your time coming out of the long holds — the body feels tender for a moment, and that passes. This practice is about taking good care of your body, never pushing it.
