A gentle, unhurried full-body Yin practice filmed at the beach, where we borrow the ebb and flow of the tide as a way to get to know the breath, the body and the mind. We settle in with a long, quiet Easy Pose, then move slowly through Caterpillar, Dragon, Child’s Pose, Eagle arms with a Shoelace seat, and a pair of Reclined Twists before winding down into stillness. Each shape is held for a few minutes so gravity and your breath can do the work — no rushing, no forcing, just space to notice what arises and let it wash over you.
Anyone who wants a deep, slow full-body stretch with a meditative, mind-quieting feel — whether you’re new to Yin or come back to it often. It’s lovely at the end of a full day, when the mind is busy, or any time you’d like to slow down and follow the breath for a while. New to these shapes? Read the pose notes below first, then follow along and take the gentler option wherever you need it.
Just your mat and a warm, quiet space where you can be still for a while. No props are required, though a cushion or yoga block under your seat is a kind touch if sitting cross-legged feels tight, and a folded blanket near the knees is always welcome. Come as you are, and press pause whenever you need to.

No — all you really need is your mat. If sitting cross-legged feels hard on the hips or lower back, a cushion or yoga block under your seat makes a lovely difference, and a folded blanket under the knees is always welcome. Everything is optional, so use whatever helps you settle.
Yes. Every pose has a gentler option and a deeper one, and I talk you through both as we go — so you choose how far to travel. Remember we only ever come to about 60–80% of your capacity, never forcing, and you can rest or adjust at any time.
The class opens with a little reflection on the tide — how life ebbs and flows, gives and takes — and we carry that idea onto the mat. As we hold each shape, we simply watch the breath and any thoughts or sensations come and go, like waves. It's as much a practice for the mind as for the body.
